Did you root it in water? Or moist soil?

ehh salvia, its best to root it the classic way, puts less strss on the cutting
leaves will root, but they wont shoot, so basically you just end up with a rooted leaf, not a new plant

their leaves are not waxy and big leaves like that transpire a lot....probably pretty difficult.

It was the Dutch plant physiologist J. v. OVERBEEK who discovered in 1941 that the addition of coconut milk causes a drastic increase in the growth of plant embryos and tissue cultures.

some plants need a node to shoot....i always assumed salvia were one of them...? but leaf cuttings and tissue culture are 2 very different things.
you odnt need cytokinin for cuttings cause salvia will shoot from every node anyway....and fast to boot.

I saw something about this on another board, it will root not sure whether it can grow new leaves etc. although the leaf will get bigger. I think it lacks a certain chemical or something that it needs to grow..
