Findings from a stroll in the woods, TX

Here are some of my findings in the woods. It has been in the 70s the past week or so and a nice storm came through last night so I decided to go for a stroll. This is some of what I found and I don't know what they are:
What is that red stuff on it? I found it growing off a fallen tree limb.
Found on a tree limb laying on the ground.
Found this one growing on another fallen limb. Whenever I pulled it off it had like yellow puss at the place where I tore it. Here's another pic:

Found this baby growing in cow shit
This one was growing from cow shit too. Another:

This one was growing off the side of a fallen limb laying on the ground. Another:

Found these growing on the side of a fallen limb too. The gills are a different texture though. Instead of straight lines they are like interwebbed..idk how to explain it.

I found more growing in cow shit but I want to ID these first before I waste anything. Thanks!

Woah, you have a lot of pictures there. Looks like you had a nice time. 1-4 are pleurotus mushrooms, probably pleurotus ostreatus, a good edible. The ones in the first two pictures are rotten, don't eat those. The cowshit ones look like psilocybe cubensis. The blueing gives it away. Then, the tree limb one looks like a pluteus of some kind, maybe cervinus, not worth eating. Then, you have a stalked polypore of some kind, inedible. Nice hunt mang.

Lol I didn't really plan on eating any of those cause I don't know which the magic ones look like cept for the cubie. I found 3 other cubes growing in cow shit but they were itty bitty and I don't want to be greedy. Hopefully they will grow and release their spores so more grow.
Are oysters "magical"? I saw them growing off some trees like crazy but they looked kinda nasty IMO, just how they clump together and there was yellow puss coming out, which went away and is now white. If so, geez Mother Nature sure gave me a good Valentines Day present she must love me.
And that one with the weird texture gills is azure? Interesting
I'm south of Houston but above Galveston

No, no azure anything. The one with the weird textured gills, called pores is a stalked polypore, inedible. The oysters are not magic. They are a tasty mushroom, as in they taste good to eat. Yeah, some of them look pretty rotten though.

the cubes are magic. The others are not, the oysters should be a good edible if they're not rotten.

It doesnt have a veil and isnt bruised blue plus its pretty much white.
Cubes usually have a golden faded cap

With a purplish veil on one side but the veil is usually that whitish color, plus the gills are usually purplish/brown/black/whatever from spores but they dont always have spores or are washed out or whatever...

And does that other cube actually bruise blue? because it doesnt have a veil either. You didnt pull a Paul Stamets and color it with paint did you? It does have the shape though.

Noooooo. The cubes are in pics 5,6, and 7.
You found that one growing out of a fallen branch, remember? It is in the Pluteus genus. Cubes, from the Psilocybe genus, only grow from manure. Cubes also have dark purple-brown spore prints, bruise blue, as seen in your cube pics, and often have a ring, or remnants of ring on the stem. The only psychedelic mushrooms you got are in pics 5, 6, and 7. In Texas, the only psychedellic mushrooms you find will probably be growing on shit of some form.
It doesn't hurt to do some research on your own too. It is very rewarding in the long run!

Oh I am researching now! I just wanted to get some real time support since this is my first time picking and I don't want to die lol.
so can I just clean the cow shit and throw the cubes in a blender with some OJ or dry them? I'll probably take some prints first, but I read that cubes are more potent while fresh is this true?

yep. Might as well print them. Try not to beat em up too much though, as that decreases potency.
They are more potent fresh.

technically they are more potent fresh, but if dried correctly they lose very minimal potency. they taste a bit better fresh too IMO, but I wouldn't eat a fresh mushroom unless i'm 100% sure it's not gonna kill me.
