Probably -
Though the 'warm' spell we've been having the past few days might give us a flush or two.

I finally got out today.Picking here is almost done.I only went to one short grass field though, not much, about a quarter ounce.Tall grass may be better.Definetly coming to an end.

Well, I spend about 12 hours this last weekend looking hard around the puget sound area for cyans. I got skunked :-(. But I saw many other kinds of mushrooms, including what probably were galerinas. My question is do other mushrooms have a later fruiting season than cyans? Or are cyans still in season and I just did not find any?

Cyans here are done a few weeks before the Libs are done.Libs survive the longest I think. Other mushrooms do have later fruiting seasons. But where you are, they could still be growing.Mj posted pics of his findings from a little over a week ago.So grab your camera and keep lookin.

Well I picked 706 Psilocybe cyanescens on Friday and this morning I found another 223 medium sized buggers in grass and mulch.

It's tough to be a newbie, MJ ;-)

I would like to ask you sometime about the places I looked, to see if you have you ever had luck in these locations? One place, Sand Point, there were no mushrooms of any kind growing there, and I covered a fair amount of the park. Every other place I looked had at least some mushrooms. Why would a place be so barren of fungus?

T he "season" for mushshrooms is generaly in the spring, but if you live in a warm climate like Florida or Calafornia you can find some wild ones into December. I've been going out often and not coming back with many. If you pick a good time to go, I reckon' you could find a good trip or two.

Hi Psylosymon,
I picked 163 Psilocybe cyanescens this morning. If it would just get a little warmer for a few days, a whole lot would get bigger.

I left a bunch but I have a mole in the patch.

Mj Happy holidays

I'm still getting cyans here in victoria. Still warm enough, and ther haven't even been any frosts for about 2 months(before the season even started)

Hi, here is a picture of some wavy cap cyanescens.

Yesterday someone got into one of my patches again. I went by at about 4: oclock the evening before and there were many two inchers in the mulch. At 8 in the morning they were all gone.

Mj

That is excellent to hear Mj!
Shrooms have been doing good here in Southern Florida(Gulf Coast side).
I have noticed a rapid decline in the amount of Copelandia Cyanescens I find. They are being replaced by Psilocybe Cubensis'.

I am praying that Copelandias arent just a seasonal mushroom. I just can't cope without them.

MERRRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPPY NEW YEAR!
