What is....

The most you would pay for a record?

I'm trying to figure out whether I actually want to bust out the money to get a holy grail.

Well I'm talking record label CDs.

Are you looking at vinyl?

This, and maybe this

Also some the earliest shpongle release

But mostly that insanely expensive aphex twin record, a black pressing. That's a grail to me. BoC is eh.

I wouldn't pay like 700 dollars though that's just ridiculous

Oi, looks like an expensive hobby. I would perhaps pay 30 Euros for a record if I really wanted it, but not for Boards of Canada. Pete Namlook on the other hand, yes. :yesnod:

I know right, 349 pounds is like 700 US Dollars

Someone should slap that person if they think anyone is going to pay that much. I sent them some hate mail, they haven't responded :sun:

But If I found it for 150 (which I may have) I would maybe cough up the money. I'm crazy like that though maybe you wouldn't understand.

that's insane man.

and the ironic thing is that you probably download music left and right, ripping off artists, but you're willing to pay some douche bag an outrageous amount of money, none of which the artist will ever see, for a record that will make your collection a little more impressive. silly!

It not about having it, it's about the sound quality.

If you think an album is kick ass wait till you've heard it on vinyl with a nice sound system.

I don't buy vinyl left and right, but when I find an album where I'm just like "wow" I'll get it on wax

Pink Floyd on vinyl is a must, that's a band that comes to mind. I pity those who say they like DSOTM and haven't heard it on vinyl. It's very different (better)
