"smoker"s voice....help!

Just curious folks, Do any of you have suggestions for moi as to what one can do to ease the rough sound of vocal chords which have been effected by weed intake?
Don't smoke for a while is all I can think of. Hot tea doesn't seem to do much though it doesn't hurt.
Thanx!

One Snarky and one serious:
Switch to vapor! and...
I have a small case of Sucrets sore throat lozenges. They do wonders for the roughness and by the time the numb wears off my throat is a lot less sore and a lot more moist.
Tea is ok, but a lot of teas will end up drying your throat out further.

honey and drink more water. At least that's what I do when my voice is gravelly from singing.
Got that advice (water ) from someone here and it works!

Thanks y'all, I got something to pop into my mouth after indulging and we'll see if it adjusts. I may just have to wait a bit and let the ol' chords heal up.
I've been thinking of checking erowid for instructions to make a vaporizer out of a light bulb as I understand that the kind one can purchase via the internet are damned expensive.
have a gr8 week-end!
Oh, and Mush...long time no "see". lol...I'm preparing for my daughters' wedding so I only get to the library here and there. I don't even check email at home.....internet is a bottomless pit sometimes.

Singers saving grace works like a charm. It is meant to soothe the vocal chords for singers, so it might just do the trick for you.

Headi are you talking about that spray shit? Don't waste your money. Seriously. Drink lots of water and warm those chords up!
MIC I've noticed you've not been around much lately. How's that grandkid? I've been on here too much lately. But that will soon change. I go back to work in a week!
Once you get too far behind on e-mail it's better to just delete it all and start with a clean slate, I think.

id recommend a vaporizer too.
don't make a light bulb one, they're way too much of a hassle. i made one once out of a light bulb and i kept burning myself, and everything i set the hot light bulb down on once i finished smoking.
i have a vape that i got for 30 bucks at my local headshop, you don't need to spend a fortune. it's worth just buying a cheap one. i'm sure you can find one that doesn't cost a fortune.

I can't tell you how much vapes are worth it. I dicked around with lightbulbs for a while, but I also had a problem burning myself. I spent about 200 online and got a nice vape and it has cut back on my monthly weed costs by almost 2/3. My lungs are much happier and I don't get winded nearly as quickly. I got the SSV which is a pretty sturdy one, nicer than most, but only a third of what a volcano costs.

I am actually a singer and the spray actually works well for me. Although there are cheaper remedies i agree. I also have a vapo and they do really help but those can run expensive too. A stranger remedy is lemon juice with lemon cough drop dissolved into it also works, the taste is pretty rancid but it works.

Mush B-the baby is fine and SO cute! Saw her 2 nights ago. She wrinkles her nose when she laughs...it's adorable. Thanks for asking.
$200 is a lot to lay out at once but if it cuts the intake it will pay for itself over a short period of time it seems.
There are head shops near here. I've been meaning to check them out anyway. Funny thing...seeing a grandma pricing bongs and vaporizers. lol
I sucked on tums at work (daringly...I went to school high a few times) and the tums seemed to help. If they coat the stomach I figured they'd coat everything they went past too.
My sons' teacher is a smoker and I found myself sounding like him when I speak to him. I figured he'd recognize the sound and think who knows what. I mean, how long can someone have congestion? ha
I've also noticed that it's harder to sing along with Queen's Freddy Mercury's high notes....a great disappointment as I love to sing.
Thanks y'all....
Mush B, shall we plan a spring gathering for female Shroomerites? Whatta ya think o'that?
