Ehh, Flashbacks?
    #8018763 - 02/13/08 06:05 PM (15 years, 11 months ago)

I've been using acid for quite sometime but I've taken some time off for a while (Haven't had any in about half a year).

Last night I noticed that this rug in my bathroom started to move exactly like it does when I'm on acid, just not nearly as intensely. This kind of scared me, and it's kind of the reason I haven't been using psychedelics. It seems as though my vision is always doing things like this. Sometimes I see edges stretching or pulsating.

I just want to know what is up with this and if there is anything I can do, or if I should even worry it all?

When i did shrooms a couple times in during one month i would see that kind of weirdness for a couple of weeks, but then it stopped. its been a couple months now and im fine. But ive heard that lsd is stored in your spine and if you crack it some gets released. sounded like bullshit to me but idk..

yeah, it is bullshit. LSD doesn't stay in your spine, brain, any of those.

The chemical breaks down at body heat temperature, I think it starts deteroriorating at more than 42f, or something like that.

It's not a very stable chemical, wouldn't last in your spine. Completely out of your body a few days later.

it not known what causes this, but just dont stress about it, the wikipedia article exaggerates
some people even find it pleasant

You don't have anything to worry about unless it bothers you. I find that happens to me occasionally and I really like it. It brings a certain psychedelic reminiscence to sobriety. Usually it will only happen for a split second and then when I try to make it happen it goes away. It's never been a problem for me though.

No, if its not persistent, I wouldn't think it would be Hppd.

Originating poster, don't be afraid of flashbacks. They just make this world seem a little more magical, in my opinion.

Don't worry at all. I quite frequently see movement that isn't really there, particularly when looking at any kind of pattern. It's hard to describe, but it's like tripping on a very low dose. Learn to either appreciate or ignore it. It can't hurt you, and anxiety will only make things worse.
