yup. if there is any bark in there try and pick it out.

dont you have a wal-marx, home depeot or lowes? they usually carry alder, hickory or oak on hand then you wouldnt have to pay shipping.

i got my hickory chips at wal-marx for 1.88 for right around a gallon's worth of chips.
