Sounds like a good thing to me.
Ron Paul will have renewed support and his book will come out in a couple of months, and he's got a great publisher that can get him out there with some media appearances. He's really started a movement and they are working together and planning ahead and looking to get more politicians like Ron Paul elected. It is nice to see this man who has fought for so long in Washington for the people to finally find his support, and to see it so strong.
And Obama seems pretty capable of leading America into the future, in the interest of the people.

I hope so, dude.
But you gotta think rationally... if the American public could elect the dumbest fuck of a Republican not once, but TWICE... they should have no problem electing war-monger McCain, especially over a minority candidate. There are plenty of educated voters in America, but sadly, I think there are many more uneducated voters as well

Then it's a darn good thing that isn't a quote from any of the candidates in the running for the presidency.

I think if Obama wins Ron Paul will could easily be done for at least the next four years, probably for good. The reason Ron Paul has done so well is because of Bush, and without a Bush, what does Ron Paul have?

I've come to the conclusion that its gonna be easier for the GOP to beat Obama than Clinton.

Ok stickler, so it wasn't word for word, but he damn sure made it clear he did not mind if the US is in Iraq for 100 years.
Get up to date on your politics, you're the reason we had Bush for the past 8 years...

If you actually gave a shit about the truth -- rather than perpetuating your own prejudices -- you would have expended the fifteen seconds of effort to find the transcript of his remarks. Then you would have seen it plain as day that he was comparing a potential US presence in Iraq with the actual historical presence of US troops in Japan, Germany, and South Korea. More than six frigging decades in Japan, and counting, Hefe.

Ron Paul says lots of things that are untrue.
What counts isn't what a political opponent claims McCain said, what counts is what McCain actually said. It's not as if the conversation wasn't recorded, you know. There are hundreds of places on the net that have the entire transcript. Why not look it up?

> There are hundreds of places on the net that have the entire transcript. Why not look it up?
It was actually a bit difficult to find the transcript, in context. Saving others the effort:
Quote:
Q: "President Bush has talked about our staying in Iraq for 50 years --"
McCAIN: "Make it a hundred."
Q: "Is that. . . ."
McCAIN: "We've been in South Korea ... we've been in Japan for 60 years. We've been in South Korea 50 years or so. That would be fine with me. As long as Americans ..."
Q: (Tries to say something)
McCAIN: "As long as Americans are not being injured or harmed or wounded or killed. That's fine with me, I hope that would be fine with you, if we maintain a presence in a very volatile part of the world where Al Qaeda is training and equipping and recruiting and motivating people every single day."
In context, it is clear that he is talking about having a presence in the Middle East (or Iraq) for the next hundred years; he is not talking about fighting a war in Iraq for the next hundred years.
(I'm not a McCain supporter, but people need to stop taking his statements out of context and trying to make it sound like he is advocating a hundred year long war!)

Wow, you just can't stand the thought of a Democrat being elected President, can you?
Conservative or not, you should be able to see we are not helping anything by being in Iraq.
