I avoid them at all costs because I dont want to be desensitized to it. Nor do I want to be haunted by it. Also, the asshole jihadists want me to see it, so there is another good reason not to watch.

Im sorry you watched them.

Its the only gore/shock videos to this day that have actually bothered me.

I have like 10 on my computer somewhere, haven't looked at them for years and dont plan to view them again.

been doing so all night actually. on efukt and extremefuse. not all graphic violence. gotta balance it out with pron and hilarity. it bothers me a bit seeing someone get their throat cut from the center then back through their spine, but not that much. thats what we all look like on the inside. blood, guts, etc. autopsy videos are no different really, save the folks are dead first. violence, part of life, deal.
btw guinness extra stout = tasty.

It's much more traumatic seeing violence in real life. I'm completely desensatized to video imagery.

sure but its still a part of life, war, etc regardless.  why not seek it out?  there's so much weight placed on things being right and wrong etc yet so little on things just being what they are.  people get killed...brutally even.  why not check it out and experience what it has to offer?  get perspective on something you otherwise wouldn't have?  being desensitized is a crock.  everyone has their breaking point no matter how much shit theyve been through.  you will or will not get there regardless of how many people heads you see cut off online or irl or what the fuck ever.  :crankey:

why not seek it out?  because if i'm meant to see it, then i will.  at which point i'll "deal".  but it has no part in my life right now, and i'm not in a hurry to make it a part of my life.

just because it is "all part of life", doesn't mean i should experience it.  heroin addiction is "all a part of" someone's life, but i want nothing to do with it.  as of right now, i choose not to include grotesque, gratuitous videos of violence and death as a part of my life.  if at some point it rears its ugly head, then so be it.  but i will continue to avoid exposing myself to the fullest extent of my free will.

and desensitization is not a crock.  that's just fucking stupid.  of course you become desensitized to something if you expose yourself to it over and over again.  that's just the nature of things.  you become used to it, it loses its impact, thus you are desensitized.  i can't even comprehend how you would argue otherwise.
