Hello Ladies!
Go get stoned and download the Hello Ladies Mushroom Jam in the music and arts forum. I don't mean to be an attention whore, but hardly anyone goes there, and I've never received feedback on my songs (though this isn't a song)... boohoo. But really, it can be worth it if you want to find some jamming under the influence of mushrooms... and can tolerate drums, bass, and guitar.
Okay, I'm done. Delete this thread if it is inappropriate, and thanks.

I post a lot of my music in there too, and yeah, it's hard to get feedback. But posting in other forums is kind of pathetic. Blastrid, knumb, snoot, stefan, all those cats post tracks all the time.. it's hard to get noticed. It's part of making art. Almost NO ONE reads amateur poetry (and generally, with good reason). Just be patient.
And post a fucking link if you're going to spam.

True, but a lot of people who post stuff in the MAL section share their work that they think will cater to a psychedelically-minded community. And to have that section of the forum as inactive as it is can be disheartening. I've never seen a forum dedicated to psychedelically-driven song writers. Certainly not one as active as the Shroomery as a whole.

The problem is that there is, like people expect, still a lot of less-than-listenable/readable stuff being thrown into that forum.. can you really blame the nonwriters for not taking the time to respond and encourage the few people that do post their work? It's asking a lot of people to sit still and attempt to appreciate something totally foreign.

Sounds pretty pessimistic, sorry jonny. But I see your point. What I posted was unlistenable, but some of the other stuff I've posted is, as well as some other folks' stuff that never receives feedback.
But it's not so much about the feedback, as sharing it with those that are interested.
