Putting plants in your terrerium
    #801483 -

Just skimming over the shroom growing resource we have at the shroomery and ran across a tek that suggested putting some kind of plants such as a tray full of rye grass to help maintain the atmosphere

http://www.shroomery.org/findorgrowthem.php?View=docs&doc=43

Anybody tried this? How does it work?
I'm thinking it may be too much trouble than its actually worth, but if anybody says otherwise im not beyond trying it.

I think its too much trouble without enough output-- I'd think the only time you'd want to put any kind of plant in there is when you cant get the humidity right, and even then I doubt it would help very much

This may have just been a one time thing, but once using quinoa seed, my friend grew some monster golden teachers. While the mushrooms grew however, mixed in with them was a whole lot of quinoa grass. The grass never harmed the fruit( four flushes later ) and only the grass still grew. So my friend through the mixture out in the woods so it could continue to grow. As far as helping or harming, in this particular case with quinoa seed and golden teachers growing on manure and wheatstraw, the quinoa didnot hurt the fruit at all. My friend isnt sure whether the grass did help in balancing out the atmosphere, but it might have, bluhoney

How was the quinoa prepared? cooked, pc'd, soaked?

I would like to replicate that result.
