What to do with unused, pasteurized coir

Last night I pasteurized my brick in water and used most of it to be spawned. I have a decent amount left over that I really don't want to toss. Any way of storing this for a couple weeks till my other jars finish? Right now it's in a gallon ziplock freezer bag and as I said, it's less tan 24 hours pasteurized.

If you do the can pasteurizing technique you can avoid this problem in the future but I would think that transferring the rest to gallon bag ziplocs or something then transferring to the fridge/freezer would preserve unused bulk sub for a while.
Just curious, why do you want to save it? A brick of coir, at least in my area, is only 3 dollars.

You can keep it in the fridge... don't know about the freezer, but I don't see why not. If frozen, just microwave until the center is warm... let it cool in the bag.
You may want to heat it up pretty good, anyway, 'cause you'll likely introduce some contaminants as soon as you put it in the bag... but coir IS pretty contam-resistant when stored properly. You shouldn't need to re-pasteurize.
You may need to spray it a bit, when you case, to re-hydrate. Coir is simple stuff. It is fully hydrated when it looks fully hydrated. If you've worked with it before, you know how much water to add.

I'll probably throw it in the freezer and thaw it in the microwave when I'm ready. Couldn't hurt to re-pasteurize, right?
Also, I can't find coir in my area at all. Bought it on the internet for $4.50. Shipping was free but it took 10 days to get to me
