I honestly doubt that they thought that far ahead or even know what it is they are supporting. If they had the tiniest bit of an idea how controversial the subject is, they wouldn't have risked putting their favorite candidate into the middle of a pointless battle.

It could have been a clever way of appealing to the Latin populations of Texas. Obama needs to bring them to him, making it so that Clinton doesn't win Texas will end her campaign. Of course, it isn't being carried by the media, so that doesn't really stand itself up. Just some volunteers, there are millions of stupid, stupid people who support all candidates.

MSM will and does cover anything and everything that makes for a good ratings boosting story. A confederate flag on McCain's wall would probably be covered extensively because people would tune in to argue about it. Sharpton would probably get involved, and Sean Penn or some other celebrity pawn. I think that neo-conservatives who are educated enough to know about Che are outraged, but what percent of the target audience do they make up? A very small one. Che's face is a popular ubiquitous symbol that stands for youthful resistance, regardless of what he stood for as a person. You can resist and try and make people associate his face with mass murder or even communism, but battling semiotics from a political forum in the Shroomery is like trying to swim up a waterfall.

Hardly. MSM is very particular about what they report on some subjects. Not to pick on only MSM, most of the major news carriers push their own agenda. Fox Entertainment News, CNN Entertainment News, NY Times Lefty News, Al Reuters, A left of P, etc... even the BBC, which has long been able resist this temptation, has started down the dark road of biased "journalism".

And the Cuban flag?
As it happens, the person responsible for hanging the flags certainly knows who Che was and what he did. She flies the same flag from her own balcony. Again, I am positive Obama knew nothing about this. This was an extremely poor judgment call on the part of one Obama supporter. What I find interesting is that none of the others working with her found it the least bit off-putting to hang a Cuban flag next to Obama's photo. Or found it even slightly odd to honor a mass murdering Commie terrorist in a campaign office for the person they hope will become the next commander in chief.

I am not disagreeing with anything that you are saying, I just think that as a news story it doesn't carry as much oomph for the average viewer as it does for those of us here. I don't think it would create a big stir if TV news reported it. And I do agree a confederate flag on McCain's wall would.
