Compare to soaking perlite, draining it, punching all the holes in your FC for shotgun style as RR specifies, setting up separate spawn trays, casing them individually, etc. I don't know if Ron Popeil would ever apply his wonderful little phrase to monotubs, but in comparison there is a lot less setup and monitoring of the variables at play.

Would fanning twice a day while running a fan for most of the day be sufficient airflow for my tub then?
Generally I have read that it is insufficient, even RR has stated as much, but I usually only have time to fan my bins when I wake up in the morning and when I get home from work. It is better if you can fan them more, probably 4-6 times daily would be ideal. Anything less than twice is asking for trouble.

I think I could do up to 4 daily. Simply just taking off the lid and fanning it real fast isnt hard at all if thats all the real labor im going to have to put into these things while they are fruiting. But what about misting? I started thinking about the light setup in there today. Should I just mount one 6500k blue(?) light in there and run it on a timer or something? Would 12/12 be best?

I have a monotub in my closet, not because the people I live with care but I prefer it hidden if people come over. Tomorrow I am picking up a fishtank pump and I am going to mount a cup with water inside of the tub and have the pump bubble through the water. Then just leave that on all the time, I am thinking this will work.
I am going to use a system like this. http://www.northernbrewer.com/pics/fullsize/aerationsystem.jpg

Thats a good idea for my FAE problem right now. I am starting to wonder if using a mono tub setup is just not the right way to go with the space I am working with. Do you guys think maybe a PMP or something along those lines would be better or should I stick with the mono tub?
