Say you were to get a contam such as cobweb during the incubation phase of your casing run.
I've noticed once i move it to fruiting conditions, FAE pretty much haults all contaminate growth.
Fae is now my favorite use to tackle contams.
Although it doesnt stop trich completely, it will slow it down.
word for fae.

if your getting contams before you even move the casing to the fc you should reconsider your method for sterile casing and sterilizing your casing material....my 2cents

i've been successful in using FAE/salt to halt it completely for about a week.
Once it takes foothold again i toss, but by then my fruits are already formed
i never let it release spores into the crib.

Totally. this is a hypothetical situation.
i was just noting the effect conditions have on contaminates...
Definitely slows them down.
Moral of story, listen to RR. He loves to preach about FAE.

yeah but can you kill contams with it? i think you should be able to. maybe on agar or something. which would be cool. cause you can just burn the areas that are contam and cut out the rest of the agar.
