Leading up to a Big Trip

...do you ever feel like you can feel it in your bones? I've believed for a long time now that when I am planning a trip (I like to plan shit out.. ritualize it), in the days leading up to it I have flashbacks, so to speak. I just have these moments where I become completely detached and my vision overlaps itself.
That feeling of tripping just comes over me in a wave... then just as soon as it came, it's gone.
Anyone else have any similar experiences?

Yeah, definitely. Sometimes i get so out of it reading about psychedelics, that my entire day feels like a very mild shroom trip. Funny how the brain works.

Well said! This is the exact same thing I experience, especially leading up for a big trip; even today though, I thought I'd end up tripping, and started to have flashbacks, however I did not. It was like I was anyway! There is some good to this

Definitely. It kinda feels like you just 'know' when you're really coming up. I always get it!

The one time I took 5.2 grams of mushrooms in tea, I felt the trip coming, strong, as if a reverse afterglow effect were going on, for one or two days beforehand. It made me really think about time, and how it's entirely possible that feelings and concepts can leak backwards through time just as easily as they carry forwards.

Yup. Preparing, I think, seems to make it a more powerful and more meaningful experience. I think you make your mind more sensitive to it.
Ive tripped a few times out of impulse, and I don't think it was as good.
A couple of times I made a weekend out of it and totally blew my mind. I mean life changing moments.

Certainly! Surely thoughts / feelings can "leak back" if they are of sufficient magnitude in terms of emotional or spiritual merit. Such as someone dying, or a giant catastrophe. I think this is why people have dreams about disasters and then a few days later see it on TV - even if they didn't know anyone involved, their clairvoyance was sensitive enough to sense the ripples the incident sent out across the planet.

I plan my trips 99% of the time, i make playlists, get nice food/water, sum banging weed, sum blunts, gets dvds ready, clean my room from top to bottom, exercise alot, take vitamins, eat healthily, meditate, read buddhist/spiritual literature. Rest well.
As i know the trip will tell me to do these things, whereas if im already doing them, the trip will show me the beautiful ecstatical dance of the cosmos within my own mind.

Definitely. Once I almost couldn't sleep the night before a morning trip. Slept from about 2 am to 5 am, ate two sugarcubes at around 9, and rode a bicycle next to the ocean and through parks while there was a storm, even though it was sunny. Also, there were water spouts visible about a mile off the coast, which are like tornadoes of water, which was really cool because this was in San Diego and I've never seen anything like that before.
