First flush pics can be found here. http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/7946219/page/0/fpart/1/vc/1
Her are some more pics of the same tubs on the second flush. Looks like a third flush is coming too from all the smaller pins.

He means was the rye originally inoculated with spores as opposed to a clone or isolate.

Thanks...I am a big advocate of HMC. I know that people think it's expensive but it is most definitely worth it in my opinion, plus if you mix it 50/50 with coir, which is what I did, then you get even more out of it.

personally, I dont think it matters where the holes are. I make sire to fan them a few times per day and everything seems to work fine(as you can see) and always has. If you can see the blue tubs in back then you'll see that they have 8 holes in them....2 on top and 2 on bottom on each side. they too work just fine.

Thank you very much.....my results are only as good as my spores(hawks eye) and my compost(HMC). That and a little attention is all they needed.

I would agree...it's my favourite strain as well. And they are so easy to pick...the easiest to pick IMO with little to no damage to the casing layer, making for better subsequent flushes

Did you use the HMC kits or did you make all the tubs yourself? Also, how did you do your rye?

Thats pretty dope man. YOu should make a tek, I think alot of people could learn from your method, and the mixing of coir seems to be working quite nicely with HMC..good ideas...So its almost like you are using monotubs but you still mist and FAE regularly? Also do you use the plastic on top to keep contams out and light cycles running through the plastic? sorry for all the questions, its just ive been really debating on what I want to do next but I am really like what you got goin on.

What I do is no different than many of the teks already on here. I dont mist at all but I do fan 2-5 times/day. I use the plastic on top but under the lids to help form a better seal for humidity. No worries on the questions...we've all had them at one time or another.

Yeah I might have to try something like that, what size containers are you using and how big of holes are you drilling and filling with poly? Good choice of strain as well.....

tubs are 22 gal and the 4 holes(2 on each side) are done with standard doorknob drill bit. Not sure of the exact size but I'd say more than 2" and less than 3". I dont pasteurize the coir at all before mixing with HMC. Just mix it with tap water and mix with HMC.
