since you're using grains I have to ask, do you have a pressure cooker?
if you could give more detail like why previous attempts, if there were any, have failed

I do have a PC. I inoculated 6 pints of WBS on Feb 4. Yesterday I threw 1 out when a light fuzz with green tint showed up. The other 5 have fluffy, snow white myc forming mainly around 1/2 of the ring at the bottom of the jar and spots in 2-3 other areas no larger than a dime. I have 1 pint of BRF which is 50%-60% covered in a very very thin layer of myc on the upper half of the jar, its no where near as white or "fluffy" looking as the WBS jars.
I aquired some Quart jars and plan on trying a new batch once I get some more spores. I also ordered a pre-sterilized 3lb bag of organic rye berrys with a self healing injection port, in hopes to have a fully colonized substrate so I can possibly "grow" something.
To be honest with you, I'm whining, but at the same time I'm also trying to attain enough knowledge with this to get more in to it before I fail and lose interest. I just want to be able to know if I'm doing something right or wrong, or if there are certain materials I may use to make things move smoother. When I first started reading into this hobby I was thinking "man this seems easy" then the more and more I read the more it became (seems) more complicated, maybe I'm trying to move to fast?
I'll stop rambling.

1. It doesn't sound like you're shaking your grains at all.
2. use a still air/glovebox if possible.
3. use a vendor to get something like hpoo or HMC compost to spawn to.

1. I shook after Pc was at 0psi and cool enough to open, resealed pc lid and let cool completely. I shook after inoc, and rolled the seeds around the glass at day 5 when I saw myc as advised in tek.
2.I did use a still air box.
3. I'm hoping to be able to spawn to anything, even if it's a box of frosted flakes.
Crasher, do you think I shook them too much?

no, that would just distribute moisture and spores initially. Later it will aid in more points of inoculation in your grain jars.
Here is what I did for the Agaricus Bitorqus and other dung lover species I've got going.
-rinsed WBS until water was clear -soaked with gypsum water for 12 hours -boiled for 10 minutes -Pc'ed in quart jars for 45 minutes at 15psi
-jar lids have RTV silicone sealant and either polyfil or micropore tape for gas exchange, covered in tyvek.
'noced up in still air box, wearing gloves, iso alcohol on everything, no flames.
-shake after pc is cooled, again after inoc, again after 25%.
Colonized at 71-78 degrees.
Haven't lost a jar out of two cases.

I just got bac from checking up on the jars, its been 24 hours since I last looked...
I have the 6 WBS in a card board box, ambient temp 80. 1 got tossed due to gren I mentioned. The jar with the "most" myc I rolled and put into the hard plastic newspaper stye crate/box with my 2 honeyh20 ghetto LC experiemnts (swirled), seen a small white dandelion looking thing floating around.. and the BRF jar which I think it's packed so the myc is being restricted...anyway, the jar I moved to newspaper box is looking nice, has dime sized pieces all over the place but not enough for them to have converged yet..
the 4 left in the cardboard box have myc blooming in random spots, but again I noticed 1 other jar has "fuzzy light lightgreen" about 1/2" from the bottom of the lid... could be cobweb? looks like webbing of some type..

I have 4 leftover from that batch and while they appear to be green free and one is going really well I'm sure they'll all turn out nasty.

not necessarily true. Keep a keen eye out, don't be afraid to toss, and make more jars in the meantime. Let em go until you see the green.

I'll see what happens with the remaining 4 WBS, the 2 honeyh20's and this BRF which I think is a tosser...

It appears to be such a thin layer of myc around te glass, I think Imay have packed te jar too much and I didn't use br-flour, I used brown rce grated in a blender, came out looking like sand kind of..

It looks thin, but its growing 3-dimensionally as well. After it's completely colonized from what you can see, keep it incubating for another few days to ensure the center is complete as well.

Have some of them been inoculated with your lc? That could be a possible source of your contamination.

I used 2 different syringes from sporeworks, PE and equ, the lc I did is in the incubation phase.
