Q: Can I use LC rather then Cakes to Spawn?

Was wondering if I could just fill a tray with a Substrate and then inocualte it with LC so as to skip the whole Cake making/crumbling process..
I eman, it sounds probable but how would one go about doing it?
If I mix a tray of coir/coffee grounds could I just shoot a bunch of LC in all over and then case over?
Primarily could I just innoc a mono with some LC?
Advice, Comments, Links? I couldnt find nuttin via search but I recall seeing this asked before..

You would need a lot of semi-pure LC- a shitlload - I mean 1:4 myc/spawn ratio (pure myc weight verus amount of medium.) would require a lot....
And there are a LOT of ways mushrooms can figure out how to deal, so almost anything is possible- you just gotta think outside the box (or sometimes get back inside because you still need to learn the box )
take a mushroom & h202 and put it in a blender- slurry it up, pour that all over a substrate/jars and mix it up- Dr. Otts first book on cultivating psilocybes is based around that. It works all the time if you do it right.
Me and my gf talk about making a LC blaster- straight up like a paint sprayer with a backpack- but you should shoot out LC or spore solution.
Walk up to bales of straw and fire away!

Civ, that's actually been done with growing woodloving species outdoors, using a slurry in a sprayer to start a patch. From what I've read, it's a great method.

I take all my old lc's and run them through a coffee filter nad maybe rinse the mycelium with tap water and then put the almost pure mycelium into a blender and shread it up. Then it goes into a spray bottle and tap water is added and then I spray away on wood chips. It works but it isnt 100% but it it much better than trashing the old overgrown lc.
I actually have a lc that will be ready for a spray bottle in a few days and I will do a wood lover experient/tech for it.
Lc's straight out of the jar are too too rich to use in a non sterile enviroment. This is why the mycelium must be seperated from the unused sugar
-------------------- Stop experimenting half way through your first grow. Grow it to maturity, watch it, learn from it. Do this a few times then experiment with different ideas and figure out what works best for you.

I'm gonna give it a go on a pile of woodchips or a old rotten log in my ravine, worth a go in the summertime just for kicks.
