What is some good, trippy prog. rock type stuff? I really like Pink Floyd, Radiohead, Tool, and King Crimson, but I have pretty much everything put out by these bands. I'm pretty open minded as far as music goes.

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club... mm...Mogwai ~post-rock sort of stuff~~... maybe look at some older bands? Doors, Grateful Dead~....

BLINDMELON listen to it you probably know No Rain But there is such better songs but do yourself a favor and buy all three albums or at least the best of Classic Masters.


There is such thing as self opion and mine is so far down south I have no self control and if anybody is feeling like A nobody then your gonna have to look out for you in despereate need of a little more religion I keep on screaming for that glass of lemonade.

Those are my favourite bands hehehe. I recently got into Modest Mouse, which is sort of moody and trippy. Kyuss is also prog-ish and quite heavy; get Sky Valley to start. Sheepish recently introduced me to Devin Townsend, which I like a lot; sort of like Pink Floyd but heavy. There's lots of King Crimson-type prog-rock like Yes, Tesla, etc... try some of that stuff. Not really prog-rock, but Mellow Gold by Beck is a pure stroke of psychedelic brilliance IMO. Also get Badmotorfinger and Superunknown by Soundgarden if you don't have them already. Nine Inch Nails may or may not be your thing; you've probably decided already but if you haven't, try The Downward Spiral. I don't have my CD rack with me, but if you like those let me know.

Oh yeah and I agree wholeheartedly with the Blind Melon recommendation. Get the Self-Titled one first.
