I think it's okay as long as it's still in the first tri-mester.

Shame on you posting an article from Planned Parenthood. They have an agenda and will sponser studies to prove their agenda. You might as well be quoting from NARAL!!!

You should no better than to post just results. We need to know his methods, training and background to assess the results of this study. He could be testing a small sample size or a traditional low-income area. He could lack the appropriate training to conduct such tests. He could is most likely an athiest with an agenda and the test can be designed in such a way to lead to that result. He could even be misleading us with erroneous data. The lack of additional information regarding his study in your post is nothing short of irresponsible.

In reply to:

Overall, I think it comes down to this:

You can either have legal safe abortions performed in clinics by trained doctors, or you can have teenage girls dying of horrible uteral infections after sticking a coathanger in themselves.

When abortion was illegal how many women each year died from coathanger abortions? Answer: A few dozen tops.

With abortion legal how many babies are murdered? Answer: 1.3 -1.4 million per year.

From the so called safe a legal abortions women die from complications every year as well. Women still die and suffer complications but in addition to that tragedy, over a million innocent children are slain per year.

It would be much better for a couple dozen women to suicide each year than for millions of innocent kids to be slain. That's what it comes down to.

I hope you are going to adopt at least 3 or 4 unwanted babies, because some who thinks it is so 'creul' to abort, not kill, a fetus, not a baby, must have enough love in his heart to adopt a pleothra of orphans.
As far as I'm concerned, abortion is the lesser of the two evils, when you factor in Abandonment, Orphanages and Neglect.

And what is your agenda Rail? What is the agenda behind every damn law that limits a persons liberty; in any way? What are your references to the "partial birth" medical procedure that you gave example of? Are you a mediacal doctor? Are you a single woman who had the misfortune of having her birth control fail? Are you going to help her finish college? Are you going to buy the diapers, stay up late with a teething infant or do her homework after an 8 hour shift that doesnt' pay the rent?

I ask again, what is your agenda? Is it the control of the reproductive members of our society? Is it the control of those godless heathens that would have sex without first being married? Is it that you need more members in your church? Or, is it far simpler than that?

Perhaps this is your and the christian moralists agenda and I'm just putting this out there for thought, not that you will think but others might. It is the knowledge that young people will have sex. Simple, young people WILL have sex, so let's limit their availability of birth control. This leads to early pregnancy of young women who have yet to finish ANY kind of decent education. Now, lets limit the options of those young women to adoption or raising the child. Giving up a child must be the single hardest thing to do in this world; right next to raising one. Hence, the proclivity to choose to raise the child. Now, we have a single woman, no education, no work skills to speak of and, thanks to those, oh so friendly bastards in washington, no day care, limited help for further education and the poor woman isn't going to get much help from a family taxed into desperation. Where oh where can she turn? Why to that, WONDERFUL, society of christians of course; the ones that made it impossible for her to prevent or abort her pregnancy. The ones that are responsible for keeping the poor, poor. The ones that are responsible for shoving "the invisble man" down the throats of those who are at their most vulnarable. The ones that perpetuate the hate in this country by voting to enact laws that jail us "sinners". The ones that can't take responsibilty for their own lives because they are to busy doing "gods good work" by keeping young women barefoot and pregnant.

I see the true nature of you agenda now. You could save us all a lot of time and tears if you just quit messing around and join with the KKK. At least they wear sheets and we don't have to look at their hate filled faces.

If it would save a child's life I would adopt the child, black, white or asian. I'de do anyhting in my power to save these kids lives. I'de even give my own life if it could save the lives of the innocent unborn. For now, there's a 3 year waiting list to adopt a kid. There are alternatives to abortion. There have to be.

So, as i do agree, abortion is not a solution, it is to me, and millions of others a choice.
I have been a sexually active adult for years now, and i knew how to operate a condom on the first try.
Teaching responsibility is the first step in erradicating abortion.
But, for now, 'Choice' is just that.
Let it be.

Maybe not a lot of girls die from coathanger abortions, but babies still do. Black market abortions happen.

Doesn't Dubya also fall under the pro-death category? I believe there are many dead Texans who agree he is.

Yep. I've been aware of it since it's first post. When it was confined to OTD I thought it was amusing. But now that I see it has entered into serious discussions mimicing me I have posted about it in the suggestion forum.

If people don't learn to fucking use condoms, and if they have a kid, and they don't get an abortion early enough, they fucking deserve the inconvenience. A baby shouldn't have to die cuz mommy and daddy can't fuck with a condom or use birth control. Be fucking responsible, its all it takes. Thats right, fuck with a condom or birth control, NO DEAD BABIES. How can people say its okay to kill a baby after it leaves the womb? Hell, after it develops a nervous system for that matter. Thats worse than Hitler.
