i've been watching my jars grow from some time now. but never birth anything. i might have been growing contams the whole time and not know it. so to test if i really have mushie myce. can i bruise them? i've tried touching my myce at 25% but it didn't bruise. at what stage does it turn blue when touched?

There's no stage in which it bruises, If it's touched or bumped it bruises. You really should try handling them as little as possible.

bumping touching drying causes bruising
touching at 25% causes contams.

You could taste a bit and spit it out. Most psilocybin mushrooms and mycelium have a farinaceous taste and odor.

you guys don't get what i'm telling you. i'm not even sure if i am growing mushies or not. all i see is white myce. i need to make sure its the right one. thats why i need to find a way to test if it. and the only thing i can think of is. mushies myce turns blue when bruise.
other wise how can you tell if your growing contam myce or mushie myce?

pics? mycelium is white, obviously. if you have any other colors in your jar it is more than likely contams.

so lets say its at 25% right now and i bump it. and it doesn't turn any color at all.. would it the real thing? or this whole time i been growing some freaky white contams? so far no one really answer me about this bruising thing. i'm not going to touch it with my hand. maybe poke it with a stick thats clean.

Stop being so damn paranoid. If it hasn't eaten up your entire substrate within a matter of a couple days, chances are, it's just regular mycelium.
Calm the fuck down, leave it the fuck alone, and be patient. You'll be thankful when it fruits.

There's plenty of factors that could make colonization slow to a crawl.
Chances are you buggered something up along the way if it's taking so long. Temps may be part of the problem.
When you really want to know why something is seeming out of the ordinary, please, give us all the info you can. Substrate type, method of grow (jars, casing, etc.), tek you followed, stuff you did like incubation, and the like.
the more info you can provide the easier it is for us to figure out what could be wrong. Pictures help even more with that. Sometimes, it's just knowing what to look for. If your substrate's too wet or too dry, a picture can help someone else with more experience determine that for you.
If you're really that worried about it all, scrap this try. Hopefully, you've learned at least a little bit from this run. Get yourself more spores if you have to and try another batch, and see if you can't do it right.

If you're talking about PFTek, you're not going to be able to "bump" the jar enough to transfer adequate motion through the glass to bruise the cake without shattering it. You can take a PF cake and crush it between your hands in a ziplock bag and it does not bruise. You can shake the grain apart in a quart jar and it does not bruise. If you see blue/silver on your casing, it's early trich and will turn green in about a day.
I have only seen fruits bruise after harvest, this would match up because the levels of the alkaloids in the mycelium is incredibly low to begin with. Weight for weight there is no comparison between the spawn and the fruit body. If the bruising is from psilocin breaking down this would explain why you don't see similar behavior on spawn or cakes.
