Anyone taken the GRE?

The general GRE test that is. I am thinking about either scheduling the test for this month (so I can apply for grad school by the deadline mar 1st), or waiting a semester if it is going to be too difficult to cram for the exam in two weeks, on top of interning and 15 units....
Anyone whos taken the test here? What was your major, and overall GPA? What was hard about it?

I'm looking at taking it soon too. The company I got hired onto with my bachelors will give me 5000 a semester for advancing my skills, including master's degrees. I don't want to wait too long though and forget what I know now...as I can't get that money until I have worked for 1 year, which will be in Jan. 2009.
I got a BS in Computer Science and graduated with a 3.4 overall GPA, 3.8 in CS...what are my chances??

The GRE math portion is a joke, that is if you are a science or math major. The Verbal section I had trouble with, got a 550 on that part. Just take some practice tests. If you suck at vocab, might want to brush up on that. As far as the poster above goes, depends on where you plan on getting into. Top 10-15 might give you some trouble, but you'll probably get into a few places randomly in that range if you have done research with professors and have good letters of rec

Ill be taking it in the fall. Im gonna spend a large portion of the summer studying for it to make up for marginal grades. Oh, but Im gonna be studying for the physics one, not the general one.

I took it back in the fall time. I'm a poli sc graduate with a 3.85 GPA. I would suggest taking practice tests and reading word lists for the verbal section. I sucked ass at the math section, but scored in the 90+ percentile for verbal.
Barron's has a guide practice guide out.

I took it.
I didn't like the logic part:
"Johnny, Tom, and Joe run a race.....If Tommy always loses to Joe, and Joe beat Mary, and Sally always wins Wednesday races, what day of the week is it when Johnny finishes 4 seconds behind Sam, but in front of Mark and the rest of the non-english speaking participants?"
