Yeah tangerines, you have to take about 60 hours of bullshit you will never need. To be educated they want you to know a little of everything, but stick in there, it gets WAY better when you start your junior year and get to start working on your major classes.

'A Yaqui way of knowledge' is a great book, I'm sure you're enjoying that. Pharm school is intense, as I'm sure you know.
I also read science for pleasure- I'm a business major who was too impatient to spend an extra 4 years in med school plus 2 years residency.
Seems like you'd like "The Biochemical Basis of Neuropharmacology"-great book, right up your alley.
Some easier to read books are, "Evolve Your Brain", "Mind Wide Open", and "Synaptic Self"-a medium level scientific book.
They're all favorites, all fitting a different need of mind stimulation. Evolve your Brain is a real great one, if you're on your first year. My favorite chapter is the one on Neuroplasticity(the brain's ability to change)

Same here. So far atleast, its possible I might change it later, but I'm pretty sure thats what I'll end up with.
I've also thought about learning to become a dog trainer and setting up my own boarding kennels/training programs. I could make a decent living off that, and it would be something I would absolutely love doing.

Undeclared. Have a meeting with my adviser tomorrow, gonna figure out what I can get into at this point. I'll probably go with Communications. I'm gonna have to work hard to graduate three years from now, gonna have to take an easy fucking major if I want to graduate, let alone do it by then.

This is my second year at OSU and after this quarter I still won't be at sophomore status. I'm not trying to graduate early, I'm just trying to graduate.
Plus all these majors blow asshole, at least the ones that are feasible. Comm seems to be the best choice.

Everything stated above goes for the savannah campus as well.
tripping can be a hassle, considering we're in the middle of section-8-housing-galore. this also makes the security gaurds/cops a lot more hostile towards odd behavior... but everybody else a lot more accepting towards it. small doses are best, amazing actually, esp. when the weather is nice and you can stroll to the 13 acre park looking at architecture and old center squares with spanish moss hanging from the trees.
I'm studying Industrial Design and loving it.

What kind of money do PhD wildlife biologists make?
I've been thinking about saying fuck the molecular approach to biology and just going to graduate school for marine biology or zoology... But I don't think I could be content doing around 10 years of school and only making about 50k a year. Something is just not right about that.

It really depends on what you're interested in and how passionate you are in this field of study. Wildlife Biology covers many many different fields which will in turn effect your salary. As well as your employer... you would make more under a government program than say a private employer.
From what I know a PhD will open up the opportunity for management positions, park owners, independent field study, the top of the top kinda guy. I've found average starting-out salaries employed by the government to be from 50-80k (with a PhD). Given about 10 years or so, and given how good/passionate you are, you should be happy with how much you're making.
