earlier in this thread I said my major was early childhood education... I have since changed it to Music Theory and Composition

I have a B.A. in English and American Literature.

What kind of money do PhD wildlife biologists make?
I've been thinking about saying fuck the molecular approach to biology and just going to graduate school for marine biology or zoology... But I don't think I could be content doing around 10 years of school and only making about 50k a year. Something is just not right about that.

It really depends on what you're interested in and how passionate you are in this field of study. Wildlife Biology covers many many different fields which will in turn effect your salary. As well as your employer... you would make more under a government program than say a private employer.
From what I know a PhD will open up the opportunity for management positions, park owners, independent field study, the top of the top kinda guy. I've found average starting-out salaries employed by the government to be from 50-80k (with a PhD). Given about 10 years or so, and given how good/passionate you are, you should be happy with how much you're making.
