While I find it bullshit to get pulled over for window tint, I find it even dumber to consent to a search when you've got baggies of cocaine on you. Good riddance. If he's going to do that, he might as well bring a gun and shoot the cop. At least something good will come of it.

Its quite a bullshit law to make tinted windows illegal.
There are a lot of hot chicks that have a real need for tinted windows, they keep all the creeps from playing dangerous games on the road.

yeah in Florida, and that's only the rear windows! The driver/passenger windows cannot be darker than 60%. Currently i have 20% up front / rear windshield, and 5% on the back windows. Never have been pulled over for my tint before, and I really hope it doesn't happen lol.

My car came from Florida with semi-dark tint on the windows. I know the front is darker than 60%. It might be 28%, but I'm inclined to believe it is 20%.

When I need to cross the street, either on foot or bike, I need to make sure that drivers are paying attention. Too often does a driver not notice that there is somebody crossing the street, or right next to them. However, when a driver has tinted windows, there is no way for me to be able to tell what's going on. Is he going to try and signal me, forgetting that his windows are tinted? Is he alert and paying attention? Can I let him know that I need to turn, so for the love of god please don't run me over? A tinted car is a danger to cyclists, pedestrians, and other drivers.
Also, if somebody is pointing a gun at you from inside a car, you would want to know, neh? I live in Miami, where you really do have to worry if some aggressive driver might pull out a gun and shoot you from his car. Obviously, tinted windows make this impossible. I like to know whether there's a gun pointed at me.
For a police officer pulling somebody over, tinted windows must make their lives momentarily terrifying. They have no idea who's in the car, how many people are in the car, what they're doing, or what they're holding in their hands. Sorry, but I have to side with officers on this one. Tinted windows prove to be a massive threat to law enforcement officials, many of whom are actually decent individuals trying to make our society a safer place.
I can't think of single justifiable reason to have tinted windows. How does it protect your security or privacy? You don't want the people in the car next to you to be able to see you pick your nose while you drive?
This is only an opinion, but the risks to others of tinted windows far outweigh any of the benefits for the driver.

There are a lot of hot chicks that have a real need for tinted windows.
Ask any beautiful woman that does any significant amount of driving around late at night - Its not uncommon for random guys to follow them and play dangerous creepy car games.

I know what youre saying, thats just like handing the drugs over, but dude, look at the picture of that guy. if they didnt consent to a search, do you really think the cop would let them go?
