overheating the mycelium??
    #8008856 - 02/11/08 01:40 PM (15 years, 11 months ago)

Just tried to post this thread, gone now?

But to make it short.
First timer but know how to work sterile etc etc

For my first attempt I've put 2 inoculated pf teks (BRF/verm) in my tiny dark and warm incubator
and growth started within five days
75% mycelium coverage within two weeks
now four weeks in total still about 80% ???? what's happening I thought??
Last weekend I found out that during the past two weeks in the afternoon temperature is rising in the incubator up to 30-32°C
for a couple of hours (due to direct sunlight)
Normally I'm still at work around the time sunlight hits the incubator

Did I destroy the mycelium, or is it fixable

mycelium is pretty durable, it may stunt if a few days but should recover

If it doesn't start growing (maybe in my worries bruised it a little....)

kan I rinse of the small remaining outerlayer, just BRF and vermiculite, and dunk it.
