So I saw these growing today and snapped a few pics...Judging by what I've seen on the net these sort of look like some kind of Mescaline cactus, possibly a San Pedro....can anyone confirm?

These photo's are from New Zealand if that helps.

Good find, beautiful cacti, they grow wild around these parts.

Hmm yes, something similar to Cereus peruvianus - not to be mistaken for Trichocereus peruvianus. I am not sure if Cereus's are active.

Cereus cacti are not active at all.

Not even a little bit...
