Do you think that there are any growers who cure the weed that they are planning to sell? It seems to me that its rare and that the only time you come across good cured stinky ass pot is when its out of their personal stash.

yes you would. There's a difference between curing and drying.

I only know one dealer right now so the weed I'm getting is kind of shitty; it's not even fully dried. I was actually just researching curing methods to enhance the 1/2 oz I bought earlier today.
I guess it depends on your dealer. Mine deals in bulk, and his prices are fairly decent. Unless you're paying extra for quality weed, they probably just want to get it out as soon as it's dry enough to burn.

i'm fairly certain most growers don't give it a sufficient cure, if any. no big. they're doing it to turn a profit, not please the customer. and it's not like you can go down to the grocery store and comparison shop.
i don't know about you kids, but in my experience a good dealer with consistent headies that doesn't short-sack is hard to come by. so long as the bud is decent and reasonably priced, i don't complain. i keep mine in a glass jar anyhow, so it gets cured more the longer i have it.

Maybe that's the way things go on the East coast, but in the Pacific Northwest there are a lot of growers who cure before they sell. When you're buying in bulk here, qualities such as how well-cured it is make a huge difference in the sale price. As a grower, making sure your bud is properly cured will up your profits drastically.
You may not be able to go to the convenience store and comparison shop, but the same principles hold. Unless you're in high school, it's hard to move large quantities of shitty weed; you get a lot more return customers the more the quality of your product is consistently high, both selling in quantity and smaller-scale districution. And at least around here, if you're looking to buy quantity but don't like the bud when you see it, you're not obligated to buy it; you're not breaking any rules of weed etiquette making sure you get a satisfactory product if you're spending a large chunk of change.

well, the PNW is a lot more lax with weed laws, isn't it? i suppose that lends itself to a more economically competitive pot industry.
and i'm not saying the weed i get is shit too harsh to smoke. it's definitely quite good. but it smooths out pretty noticeably after keeping it in my own jar after only a week or so, which lends me to believe it isn't proper-cured beforehand. that goes for almost everything i've gotten round here.

I seriously doubt that all the dealers you're buying from are also growers.
