well....we all dream....fact is if your in a cold place and your still young you probably cant afford teh greenhouses or even to heat them...you need a lot of room to grow all those and be harvestable (i dont mean a single pot cramed in the living room liek mos of us do lol).
or if your in a warm place, you will need a large piece of property and put in a lot of work to make certain areas of for certain species......turbinicarpus will not grow well beside a caapi.....

No offence but, no.
That is a huge collection, the biggest plant shops dont even have that many species. I reckon i could do it here due to the warm sub-tropical weather and the many commercial green houses and shade houses i have on my property, plus the fact i have actual jungle just a few hundred meters from my place - great source of soil/compost for tropical species.
But the logistics are just insane for that many plants - i would never be able to attend them all, especially the more delicate species. You would end up loosing alot of plants and money
I suggest you cut that list in quarters and rate the plants that you want and are important to you - then consider growing them.
Goodluck.

you CAN do it, but WILL you? it's by all means feasible, but it's a question of willpower and determination.
if you plan on doing it you may as well become a breeder. just drop out of school, move somewhere warm, and start now. plant breeders dont need educations anyway.
who knows maybe you could be a shroomery sponsor

If you got greenhouses and some good plots sure. Sounds like it would be a full time job though. Hope the climate suites the plants well. Say start one at a time and gain the knowledge of each plant before you plant thousands of seeds and waste em all.
ethnobotanicals and cash don't mix imo. You do it for the plants not the cash. You grow for cash and they won't do well. You grow out of the love.

...or synchronization?
I posted that videos atleast half a year ago over on another forum...
Strange...
Anyways, I want to grow all these ethnobotanicals on a farm...
Maybe in GA, USA.
I want to grow enough for myself and my friends of each plant.
I also want to grow a few enthnobotanical cash crops...
What crops would be best suited to makin' money???

^^thats illegal though....
jason, plant breeders don't need an education hehe. all the breeders i know (be cacti orchid or various fruit) have at least 5 years of biology at university.....often more. its not just pollen and ovaries...there is a very big science behind it all...one that i do not understand at all personally.

maybe we can help you think about it, but then it's entirely up to you.
first you gonna need some land, i'd say enough for a man to handle with no machinery, that's about an acre. if you are going to go with the USA then you'll need some greenhouses for the hard-to-addapt plants. and you'll also need some screens to shade the cactus(i heard some of then actually like the shade and full sun stunts them) and to shade some other things i see in there.
second, you'll need to handle the soil, and you BETTER STUDY WELL, otherwise you can make the soil useless in just 3 years. that includes adding limestone(maybe i'm translating wrong.) and nutrients. that's gonna be expensive. in some soils you even have add a ton of it every season normally(acre).
and you'll need to read also about the habitats of the plants. a LOT of what you plan don't mix together.
and you also have to plant everything in the ground, there's no way you'll handle everything using pots, they demand too much care. and in the greenhouses you'll need irrigation systems.
that's a shit load of money man, and you'll need to have profit...

dude... soy tobacco won't give you money these days, plus it'll ruin your soil.
you may plant soy/corn or wheat, rye, sorgus. then you can use the grain to grow mushrooms(and the straw/hay too). one cool thing too is sunflowers.
enteogenic cash crops? no way. maybe coffe or guarana, which won't suit to the climate you chose.

organic produce in general will be worth a lot of money. now that cloned meat has been FDA approved, makes you wonder what they do to non-organic veggies
