Cheap Plasticware Works.

Disposable Poly-propylene tupperware was filled 3/4 of the way with soaked (12 hours) simmered(10 minutes) WBS and PC'ed at 15 PSI for 60 minutes. Holes were poked in top and covered with micropore tape to allow gas exchange and prevent air being pulled in from the sides.
My thoughts at this point, maybe I should have taped the seals with Micropore tape just to be sure.
They're getting knocked up with an edible culture from a vendor. I'll keep you posted.

nicely done crasher. What size is your pc? How much water are you putting in it? Since I have lubes the rim on my pc I am able to use a lot less water in it. I only fill it to 1/4th inch above the rack. So there might be 1/2-3/4th inch of total water in it. It gets to 15 psi in 10-15 minutes

Just keep in mind you'll need to put containers with more volume than a quart jar in for longer.

Tahoe-
My PC is an AA 915, and I filled it about 1/2 to 3/4 " above the rack. I can fit seven quart jars in the unit, or 4 of these plastic tubs.

Has anyone tried to use the large, disposable deli cups? Like what you buy potato salad in at the grocery store. I'm getting ready to start my first spawn jars and i wondered if these would work or if they might melt in the pc.

that would be awesome if it worked the same as glass crasher, because then after colonization you could just case, black out the sides and be done with it. would eliminate some time from the equation!

I believe anything with the 5 in the center of the recycle stamp will survive. They're PP, which I assume means polypropylene.

exactly. just colonize, pop the top, case and stick directly into fruiting chamber. you could optionally dunk before casing as well.
cant wait to see your results crash.

That's a pretty cool find.
Do you think the containers remain well sealed? I wonder how many times they could be PC'd or for what maximum time etc.
I'd probably tape the sides with mircopore tape myself for extra securty when shakeing or something... be cool way to do semi bulk cakes.

Agreed.
I might pick up a few more sets, as I've only got the three trays right now.
What should be the next one? I saw another poster was doing the same to PF cakes...

I'd do a mixture of grain with compost or manure to be inoculated with LC. Same idea as using spawn bags but no need for an impulse sealer or flow hood.

Not a bad plan, but I've always been an advocate of pasteurizing manure as opposed to sterilizing it. I've got 30 pounds of HMC to play with, so we'll see what I can whip up.
I'll post further experiments in my journal.
