I just looked at two of my subsrate tubs and I was wondering if this is mold or mycelium.
The first one is Stropharia rugoso-annulata on wood chips and the second is Pleurotus columbinus on wood chips

Pleurotus columbinus taken today

This is the Pleurotus columbinus just three days ago

I see yellow shit on your "Pleurotus columbinus taken today" pic. As far as I've heard yellow shit on a grow is bad, but I'm no expert at all.

The second picture appears to be mold. Time will tell. Black wood chips? What are those? RR

i know the top one is fine but the bottom one seemd to to take over the chips pretty quickly. The third pic which was from a few days ago was actuially taken after I tumbled the chips to mix them up so any colonize chips would have had the mycelium knocked down on them. This might mean that the oysters are good and just fully colonized.
The black wood chips are fir chips. They are what I used for my hugely succesful ps cyanescens patch. They work great for wood lovers
