if you know how to play hold'em, why would you put your money anywhere else?
my guess is you don't actually know the odds of winning, and thus it's merely another form of gambling
if you know what you're doing, i don't consider poker to be gambling. statically you will be winning over a period of time

craps game: 90 $ Action All bets always work. Place the 5 and 9 for 10$ a piece, go to twenty if they hit. 61$ lay the 10 hard 10 all day for 9 $
Outcomes: 7 hits you get paid thirty for the no 10 ( your profit 1 $ after loosing the 5, 9 , and hardway )
5 or 9 hit twice you win 28 $ (+4$ pocketed each press) each subsequent time you win 28$ more feel free to press it!
hard 10 rolls you loose the 61$ no 10 but win 63 for the hard way (profit 3 $)
The only way to loose is if the easy ten rolls. you loose 70$ and you still have the 5 and 9. If you pressed the 5 and 9 alot you should have more than 70$ on the two. take them back down to twenty and replace the no 10 and hard ten.

Real gamblers, gamble on the stock market.
Casino's are just expensive entertainment.

i routienly win playing holdem but my average session is 8 hours and up 500$. It just gets boring. I hate being around the scumbags. In my WHOLE LIFE i have won wayyyyyy more than ive lost. It can be done because its not about luck. I have won quite a bit playing craps, but its on such rare ocasion that the odds havent cought up with me yet. Plus my system only has a house edge of (.82%)Which is better than blackjack or bacarrat. I can play for a long time, and catch an epic roll here and there leving up 5000$ if i loose i only loose 300-600 $ on a bad day, then i usualy get it back playing holdem. (i win at poker 2 out of 3 days at worst.) PLuss the comps are very nice when you play 100$ average bet on a crap table for 3-4 hours. even if you have never been to that casino.
Its all for entertainment though. Its fun for me, and if you dont like it suck me
