Mad guitar skills? Very boring IMO. The 'song' is almost 4 minutes long and it never strays from the same four chords. Pretty elementary stuff.
Of course, I don't have a youtube video of me playing guitar up, and it wouldn't be much better if I did, so my opinion isn't worth alot.

I agree, it seems to be pretty basic stuff he is doing.

The comment on youtube says he made the song himself but I can't help feeling he took some parts from another song because it sounds somewhat familiar. ATM I can't think of the name of the song though...

Eh, I find him kind of insincere as far as players like that go. I think I'd much rather hear John Mclaughlin. Allan Holdsworth sounds a bit too shred in my opinion.

Great drummer, bass player, and guitarists.  Just try and get past your previous thoughts and assumptions about metal.

For very true and honest guitar skill(Maybe just acoustic guitar), listen to Michael Hedges. I have been playing guitar for 8 years and he never ceases to amaze me. Also I have to so Trey Anastasio really Jams (we all probly know this though).

that's alright man, who the hell says it takes more than 4 chords to make a good song, he's not just playing 4 chords either. he's playing notes out of chords, that shit isn't easy to play, and it does sound nice. I mean, sure, you can play better, but damn what the hell you don't like a song unless it has more than 4 chords?

i don't know, i like hendrix, and the black sabbath guitarist toni iomi, and the guitar player for pink floyd something wright and the guy who plays for led zeppelin jimmy page and eric clapton, and shit i like that shit. i don't know......

what's the rip on metal all about? there's some metal guitarists........
