maybe some will find this useful
    #8002334 - 02/09/08 08:25 PM (15 years, 11 months ago)

i just hear a lot on the net about this advice, but seems to have been so generalized it has lost its utility.

'the south facing window' only applies to people living above the equatorial line(northern hemisfere)

to people in autralia or south america, or anyone in the southern hemisfere, you should use a north facing window...

just thought would be good to make this clear, as people new to the hobbie may not consider how true this is for them

not to some people... as some people also don't think about seasons in their region (winter north hemisfere, summer south hemisfere).

Haha, I had one of those moments on the LAST DAY I was visiting New Zealand (and southern hemisphere) for the first time. Sitting in a terrace waiting the sun to be shadowed by some trees any minute, I realized the sun actually circles the other way there than up here in the north! Instead of five minutes the sun continued to shine to the spot for few more hours

Kinda  moment
