more of an experiment than anything else
figured that while my cakes finish up i'd try this out
WBS innoced with multispore LC, spawned to pure coir, and cased with 100% verm
makes me anxious to try out some better combinations

and some obligatory mycoporn

Not bad for your first time..I don't like the way coir pins, just a suggestion: try 10% coco coir, 50/40% Peat/Vermiclute gypsum lime...just a tiny bit of coco coir is great!

are you talking about the casing layer or the sub?
his sub was pure coir and his casing was pure verm, from what i understood.

He must be talking about the casing. Peat at 50% in a bulk is a bad idea. Anyway. Try a pH adjusted 50/50 verm/peat for your next casing, you may find better results. Also, provided we're talking about casings here, gypsum is generally preferred in bulks.. not casings. If you want to pH adjust, use hydro lime, not gypsum. Either way.. Nice job.

My misunderstanding, sorry about that lol...good job man...though the metabolites of the mycelium will eat straight through the aluminum foil. Use plastic instead

I don't care what anyone says. That OBVIOUSLY worked just fine! If you ask me that is better than "Most cakes". Great job!

yeah, i plan to use additives and a better casing next time. like i said, it was mostly just an experiment and i only had coir and verm laying around.
went out and got some peat and 3 coir bricks yesterday, have some WBS in the incubator. can't wait to try out some more
cheers!
