Weight Lifting

Honestly I have always been a pretty fit guy. I swam for a 25 thousand dollar scholarship, played baseball, and love the outdoors.
That was when I was young. I then came to college. I didnt do a damnnnnnn thing, and for the for the freshman 15 pounds... well I lost weight. I went from 155 senior year in highschool to 135 my sophmore year in college.
This past fall I had began to weight lift and run. I was up to 5 miles every other day along with rucksack hikes, weightlifting and tons of push ups. Actually thats how I first did it. When I began to do pushups I fractured my clavicle by doing to many and doing them incorrectly. It is, the last time I saw it a hairline fracture.
What I am getting at is last week I thing that I refractured my clavicle during a weight lifting exercise. Specifically I was doing shrugs. I was shrugging 100 pounds when I felt a pop, ting and when I set the weight down I felt spiking pain through my neck and shoulder area. I was faced with a dillema. Stop lifting for repair or continue?
Well of course I continued. Stop exercise? You myswell cut off my dick too. So I continue to lift. I did go down in weight and have been watching my technique and been pushing strict even reps. Still My army festers. The pain has shot down from my shoulder area all the way to my thumb. Dont get me wrong its not horrid pain. Its just a little discomfort, but I wonder how much worse will it get? I also wonder why in the first place my clavicle could be making my muscle around my hand hurt? I know that broken bones fester muscle which is all part of bone repair. What I am really looking for is other peoples experiences relating to broken bones, weight lifting and fitness.
I couldnt imagine ceasing my lifting routine, I have come too far. If anyone has anything good to comment. please

Never EVER "walk off" an injury. If you continue down this path, you might face never lifing AGAIN. See a doctor. You probably won't have to stop lifting for very long, and even then you probably just have to ignore your shoulders for a bit.

when you are hurt, you rest and rehabilitate. plain and simple.
"walking it off" or "pushing through" the pain is archaic and the dumbest thing you could do.
antagonizing an injury is only asking for a more serious injury.

muscle memory. take a break and youll get it all back.
shrugs are kinda useless. Upright rows are a much better pump.
