I may have let the conservative media get to me a little about his comments regarding Pakistan. That is fine. I'm against anyone that wants to expand the influence of the bureaucracy. Why does the upper class deserve to be taxed for a service they are not going to utilize? They are essentially being punished for being successful. That is just entirely counter productive. Socialized medicine isn't all that it is cracked up to be. Obama is just too liberal. He is far more liberal than Hilary Clinton and I don't why his voting record has been scrutinized more.

Under Bush the upper classes have been given tax cut after tax cut. This is what Obama is going to stop. I think Obama is balanced in his liberal views as he has his eye on exactly what America needs without going to extremes. Case in point being Iraq. Hilary says she will get all troops out of Iraq within 60days. How stupid is that!?
Obama is much more realistic. Yes we need to get the troops out but not all of them and certainly not in 60days! That will just cripple the country and send it into ultra-violence mode once again. He has a much more realistic way that means slowly taking the troops out allowing the Iraqi government to get a handle on the situation for themselves.
Obama is into providing a partnership with Iraq to provide whatever the Iraqi Government need to get themselves together while slowly removing American forces and influence from Iraq itself.

Can you explain to me why it is a good thing to stop tax cuts under any circumstance? We could cut down the bureaucracy by 80 % or more and operate as a normal and functional society. Any money we give to the federal government is bound to be lost and misspent. We aren't leaving Iraq. Not under Hilary. Not under Obama. We will most definitely have a military presence there for the next 50 years. That is what my brother in-law seems to think and he served 12 months in Iraq in the special forces. It's this generation's Korea, albeit the Iraq War isn't anywhere near as bad as the Korean War. Whenever we do leave Iraq, it will go into civil war immediately. Immediately.

It doesn't matter when we leave Iraq, and I didn't say anything about Iraq, either. We aren't leaving Iraq. Not under Hilary. Not under Obama. I'm all for tax cuts, but for the right people at the right time. Take a peek at the economy for a second and you'll dig what I'm sayin. Obama is all about less bureaucracy BTW you should check out what he says and don't take my word on any of this. You can check out his speeches on youtube for a start.
Whether you mentioned Iraq or not it is a big issue, one of the biggest on the nations minds. I see the need for having 'some' military presence but we need to start decreasing it not increasing it. They don't want us in Iraq and they must learn to take more responsibility for there country. We aren't helping the situation for us or for them by sending more troops, I hope we can both agree on that.

You guys are ignorant if you think it's possible to become a powerful politician without some corruption. You think Ron Paul's a fighter of justice who's never listened to a lobbyist? I don't have the facts exactly but I'd be willing to bet he isn't as squeaky clean as his supporters say.
BTW, Obama's plans aren't going to go into effect, and neither are any other president's plans; their platforms should be nothing more than an indicator in the way they think, and how they will react to new situations that arise. I seriously doubt we will have national healthcare even if Obama or Hillary wins. We're just too ruled by the men with money, and the pharmaceutical industry certainly has money.

Ron Paul realizes that the theory of evolution is a theory, to be accepted or rejected by each of us, and he believes that we (the human race) are not at the point yet when we can say definitively how the universe (everything) was created/came to be. Call me crazy, but that sounds incredibly sensible to me. Also, he's right - choosing a politician over scientific and religious beliefs (assuming they aren't extreme/revealing of poor judgment) is kind of ridiculous.
Plus, it's not exactly a surprise that Ron Paul doesn't accept the theory of evolution, considering only 40% of the American public accept it as truth themselves (according to National Geographic).
