I gotta work at 4 PM for a couple of hours. I'd like to wake up at 10 or 11 though and get an early start to my day. Take a walk, do some reading (I read half my book tonight and would like to finish it tomorrow morning), do some writing, then go to work, then have a night out. But I also want to smoke right now. But I know that'll make me groggy in the AM..

I am really low on funds for the first time in quite a while, so I am saving the small bit I do have for v-day.
Wish I could go for an enjoyable walk, just too damn cold here, even if you bundle up your face goes numb lol. Eh, It should start warming up though.

V-Day is so overrated...I've been lucky in that my past two girlfriends gave even less of a shit about it than I did..what you getting for your lady, Dune?
Ferris: Good call. I'm taking my time watching all of Deep Space Nine from beginning to end again. I'm in the middle of season 4.

I worked tonight.
Had a few Bombay/Sprite's before work. Re-Fueled some airplanes. Had a beer in the terminal. Drove around some equipment. Had some "Russian Imperial Stout" after work that was terrible.
Got home. Two lighters died before I could smoke one bowl.
Went to store. Bought lighter.
Smoked Bowl. Listened to the the Dead show from the other night.
Drank a lot of ice water.

I read The Stranger in French back in high school. Very interesting book, for sure.
Tonight I finished Paul Auster's Hand to Mouth and then immediately picked up Cormac McCarthy's The Road and tore halfway through it in the coat check. I'll finish another quarter tonight maybe, and the rest tomorrow morning. It is easy, easy reading. Enjoyable, but a lot lighter than I expected. Having books out at the coat check always invites great conversation and someone convinced me to not judge McCarthy on this novel but to read Blood Meridian sometime in the future and then come to judgment on him.

Even when I'm hard up on cash I can't help but fork it over for books. Used, new, whatever. I just need to own and accumulate literature. I love watching shelves get fuller and fuller.

Moving when you have a huge book collection sucks.
This last time I moved I almost died w/ all of mine...

Yeah I was very sad to do it but this last time I actually sent 3 or 4 boxes of books to live in my mom's closet for a while because my room is just too teensy and there are only a couple of bookshelves in the living room here.

You should have just started taking over other spots in the house. Begin inconspicuously by filling up the silverware drawer, or a lower cupboard. You can always fit a few slim volumes in the vegetable crisper. Who eats vegetables anyway?

When we were in photo for non-majors together, my ex and I had to do a final photo project and she was hard up for ideas so we worked together on one for her..and came up with this idea of putting all the wrong things in the wrong places in her house.
Fresh fruit in the toilet. Garbage filling up the sink. CD's in the dishrack. Filled the refrigerator with books. Put a globe in the oven.
It was pretty great.
