quickly! help me make a meal

i went by the local fish shop and picked up a fish i'd never tried before. now i'm realizing i cannot remember what the fish is called, but i can tell you it's slightly-darker-than-white fish. the fellow i bought it from suggested i have it butterflied (so i did) and said lemonpepper + salt + garlic = gold. so i figure, alright.
then i stopped by the grocery store and picked up a bunch of veggies: 1 portabella 1 small squash 1 red and 1 green pepper 1 carrot lemon and lime.
i decided to marinade the portabella in a tamari/mirin/balsamic and herb marinade. i'll broil it when i get to cooking.
i've got brown rice, noodles, potatoes, and various spices and herbs. also have chicken and beef.
so do you have any suggestions? any thoughts on a different prep of the fish than the lemonpepper route? what about a side dish that compliments the rest?
i'm not very good at coordinating flavors, so i thought it'd be nice to get some input.

I'd do the fish like he said, removing the foil towards the end to crisp. The man works in a fish market, he knows his shit. Then i'd spice and roast the potatoes together with the peppers in some olive oil. I'd grill the portabello and serve them sliced on top of the fish. But that's just me.

sounds good enough for me. i've got potatoes, peppers, and onion roasting right now. while that's going, i'm gonna make a quick run to the store for some lemon pepper.

let me know how it turns out, and be sure not to overcook the potatoes. You want them roasted, not mashed.

btw you can squeeze some lemon in the olive oil before you roast the potatoes if you want to keep the lemon theme, but i wouldn't

haha.. i totally over-roasted the potatoes. trip to the store took longer than i'd expected. however, everything else seems to have turned out awesome. i'm about to take a pic before i bite into it.

the fish is tasty as fuck. the bones are a bit annoying, but it still mighty good. the roasted veggies coulda used more spices and less cooking time, but they're still decent. the mushroom is tasty as well.
sorry about the shitty presentation, but i just don't have a knack for it.

after dinner cocktail!

gin, light rum, tequila, splash of triple sec, roses lime, lemon juice, with a fresh squeezed lime and lemon slice in the shaker as i made it. it's quite tasty, very potent.
