Beech mushorrms First time?
    #7995791 - 02/08/08 10:59 AM (15 years, 11 months ago)

:laugh:Hey guy's! First off thanks for all the great info and awsome people on this board!
Second, I have birthed some beech mushoorm LC to pf tek cakes. They seem to look great after 29 days but I have a Question. :confused:The mycilyum (sp) looks to be very fine and not as dence as the shrooms that I'M used to. So the Question is even though the cake is 100% col. for 6 days is it time to put them in the FC and is 70degrees ok????
I've been doing a crap load of reading in the cult. forum and in the edible forum, but I can't seem to find pic's of beech in a FC just after birthing.
Got 12 cakes of 1/4pt. - 1/2pt. and 1pt's going and I kind OF giddy about dunking and rolling at this point just because of The mycilium doesn't look as dense as the other stuff I have going on. Any pic's of beeches or other close incounter edibles appericated.

I think the mycelium should thicken up a little before you birth them, I've never grown them on pf cakes though,

here some threads with Hypsizygus fruiting,
