conversions for poor people
    #799536 - 08/06/02 07:31 AM (21 years, 9 months ago)

Does anybody know what 20 grams of flour converts to in volume of table and teaspoons. If you have a scale just weight it out and pour that amont into the tablespoon and teaspoons. For example (blank tablespoons and blank teaspoons=20 grams of flour)Thanks, the poor in money appreciate it.

OR if someone can mesure a half tabespoon of flour and tell me the weight. (You dont have to caculate the 20 grams) Or if you cant find a tablespoon a teaspoon or a half teaspoon or really any other measuring device common in the kichen.

Does anybody know if companies that produce grocery products flour, grain, etc. include the weight of the box when they give you the weight of a product. For example I have a box of amaranth flour printed on the bottom of the box is net wt. 10 oz. or 283 grams.

wrong forum.
(edit: and to answer your question, it varies greatly. This is why professional pastry chefs use scales instead of measureing cups to measure solids.)
