sorry if this has been answered before but i have read conflicting reports...i have read that it takes like a week in the fruiting chamber before the cakes will do anything but i have also read it doesnt take hardly any time once they go in the FC to start fruiting??? which one of theese is true?

It depends on many factors. If you are casing, you won't see much knotting for some time. If you birth cakes in an FC, your chances are that it will be much quicker.

It can take over two weeks to get fruit- just wait.

Stop experimenting half way through your first grow. Grow it to maturity, watch it, learn from it. Do this a few times then experiment with different ideas and figure out what works best for you.

It will be OK, if it starts to seem suspicious, then take knife and cut the infected site. In pic the bottom one was half on green mold, after recover it still fruiting
