fruiting time

sorry if this has been answered before but i have read conflicting reports...i have read that it takes like a week in the fruiting chamber before the cakes will do anything but i have also read it doesnt take hardly any time once they go in the FC to start fruiting??? which one of theese is true?

It depends on many factors. If you are casing, you won't see much knotting for some time. If you birth cakes in an FC, your chances are that it will be much quicker.

it varied for me some cakes got pins after a day or 2 in the FC some took a week or more to pin.but once i got pins they grew full size in under a week

-------------------- Stop experimenting half way through your first grow. Grow it to maturity, watch it, learn from it. Do this a few times then experiment with different ideas and figure out what works best for you.

it has been like 18 hours since i took it out of being dunked and put in the FC. my cake is not 100% colonized though but it wouldt grow anymore so i just decided to see if it would fruit...i have 3 little tiny brownish spots and im wondering if it is contam or pins???

It will be OK, if it starts to seem suspicious, then take knife and cut the infected site. In pic the bottom one was half on green mold, after recover it still fruiting
