Very thought-provoking book. Wild stuff
At the moment I'm in the middle of two books, pihkal for the third time, and a star wars novel. I'm really digging the star wars books lately, I got more coming in the mail

Pihkal haha, now there is some good non-fiction!
I had to put down that Disinformation book this morning, to read something on a lighter note, so am reading from Pronoia by Rob Brezsny. Beautiful book so far, makes me giggle and smile.
Reading about the occult every night before bed was giving me really wicked dreams.
Been having lots of dreams about reading books lately, which is funny
I'm so addicted to the shroomery at this point, fuck, I don't even need drugs! There is an incredible wealth of beautiful posts on here, backed by beautiful people. I'd love to go to a gathering...

I'm reading Dharma Bums for the fourth or fifth time--and right now I'm on my second consecutive read-through. I got to the last page, and just turned back to the first and started again. I've never done that before, but this is a very special book--equally entertaining/diverting and eye-opening, uplifting, boundary-dissolving, possibility-opening, optimism-promoting, mood lifting. Kerouac just does for you. If you haven't read a kerouac book DO IT! Of course On The Road is great too, but Dharma Bums is more psychedelic and will probably appeal to the people on this board.
Jack Kerouac-Dharma Bums (Amazon Link)
Go ahead, click above, buy it used for seven bucks.

I'm reading Hegemony or Survival. America's quest for global dominance by Noam Chomsky, very thought provoking book once you get used to his writing style.

I mostly hate fantasy because of its propencity to focus solely on plot instead of characters, but Martin's work is very character driven. Much more interesting that way.
That is some quality fantasy. Probably my favorite fantasy series.

After you finish that you should check out "Big Sur". It is pretty much the polar opposite of "Dharma Bums" and should bring you back down to Earth. I've read probably 6 or so of the 'Jack Delouz Legend" and they are all very good for different reasons.
Last book I read was "Hell's Angels" by Hunter S.
Strongly recommend it

for sure--the first time I read that it made me want to go to a paint store and just throw color all around my neighborhood--hang big banners everywhere, made me want to DO stuff.
Real fun book. Love the Sandy Lehman Haupt angle too, have you gotten to the incident with the sound system and the motorbike yet?
