Currently I am reading Junky by William S. Burroughs, pretty interesting look into the life of your everyday junkie user/peddler. How about all of you?

Fast Food Nation by Eric Schlosser. Some of the statistics are pretty disturbing.

Finishing up the "disinformation guide to magick and the occult", I'm on to the chapter about the secret history of witchcraft at the moment.
Highly recommend this book to everybody.
I'm reading about 5 books at once haha.
There's a thread in 'Music, Art and Literature' all for this topic, titled 'What book are you currently reading', if you didn't know. There are a lot of good book recommendations in there I've come to find.

"In Trouble Again" by Redmond O'Hanlon
Lovely British snark and well read commentary about travels into the deep jungles of South America. Pretty good read.

I just read Spit In The Ocean #7, All About Kesey, in which, a few interviews, and speeches oh Ken Kesey's, he recomends that anyone seriously interested in literature read the classics over him. So today, I started reading The Catcher in the Rye. I've gotten about 20 pages into it so far. I only had it because a friend recomended it to me a few years ago. I started reading it before, but became bored. If Kesey sais I should though, I'll give it another shot.

I've been paging through different sections of The Secret Chief lately. I've read it a few times, a few years back but Its been on my mind lately. Its a good book, it is about a Psychologist who used LSD and MDMA and the like rather successfully to treat patients prior to and after 1966. But as far as what I have been reading lately it looks like this:
Introduction to Latin Bowling Alone Better Together Designing and Conducting Ethnographic Research: Ethnographer's Toolkit (book one) Ethnography: Step by Step 2nd Ed Rethinking the Color Line 3rd Ed Reinventing Community Magic, Witchcraft, and Religion: An Anthropological Study of the Supernatural 7th ed.

Even Cowgirls Get The Blues by Tom Robbins.
I have read Jitterbug Perfume a couple of years ago and I missed Robbins' style of storytelling. I was planning on reading half asleep in frog pajamas first but I read the first couple of lines of Cowgirls, praising the amoeba, and just kept on reading.

i only read non fiction now.
i just got about 3,000 pages of books in the mail for a windows certification course that i have to read by next week. and then at the class they give me five more books on top of that.

The books I've been reading recently are light and fun. I prefer it that way if they are my break from a lot of studying etc...so currently just reading some Clive Cussler, which is certainly not the best literature, but is entertaining.

I'm reading Terry Brooks' The Sword of Shannara. Its pretty rockin. I became a fantasy junkie 2 years ago and went through Terry Goodkind and Robert Jordans series, then read some other stuff, but now back to fantasy. I'm writing a fantasy book too, but I don't know if its good enough to be published.

I just finished Bernard Malamud's The Natural yesterday and started Paul Auster's Hand to Mouth. I'll finish that today and start in on Cormac McCarthy's The Road.

Recently finished "A Brief History of Time" by Stephen Hawking.....my 3rd time to read that book. Reading "Prime Directive" by Judith and Garfield Reeves-Stevens, it is a Star Trek novel with Captain Kirk and crew. VERY good read. This is my 2nd time to read this one.

Highly recommend The Road... that damn book nearly brought me to tears. Mark my words. They'll be teaching that one in academic fields for a long time after it's sunken into the public consciousness.
I'm re-reading A Song of Ice and Fire, fantasy series by George R. R. Martin. On the third book, A Storm of Swords.
I mostly hate fantasy because of its propencity to focus solely on plot instead of characters, but Martin's work is very character driven. Much more interesting that way.
I liked some of the books above. Gonna have to check them out. I don't typically read nonfiction but you guys are changing my mind.

I recently finished Orson Scott Key's Worthing Saga and I thought it was really good.
Right now I'm reading The Once and Future King
