I just got 5 Acacia simplicifolia seeds and was wondering if anyone had any good info on theirnhardiness or growth parameters. I thought it was hard to get seeds (until this year), it's even harder to get any good info.

I'm guessing it would have similar growth parameters as other Acacia species, and possible Mimosa species. I'll see what I can find.
Wish I could be of more help, I hope you get those babies growin!

From what I have read this is supposedly a very good one with many different alkaloids--a very rare plant from what I gather.
Just started some A. Maidenii 1 week ago nothing germed as of yet

I have not tried this particular species yet but nick and soak 24 hours before placing in soil has worked well with other Acacia. Sometimes tho I just nick and plant but with these seeds I would do everything to baby them as they are rarely available--strike while the iron is HOT!
Hey Nyus how about a pic?

So far I have two sprouts from 4 seeds, just nick and plant, didn't want to risk drowning them, I've been looking for these seeds for 3 years, and I'm as happy as can be! I'll post pics in a while, but right now they look like any other fresh sprout.
