That's a half pint jar. Its taller because its thinner. Not as short as stubby as other half pint jars. I know because I use the same kind of jars. There should be markings on the side which indicate measurements of ounces and stuff.
BTW that first pic doesn't look like its fully colonized. Me being a newb just wishes you luck and just remember to keep it well humidified and if you see anything green or weird growing toss it and don't open the rest of your jars until its thick white.

i have 3 tiny brown spots after about 18 hours of being in the FC but no funny smells at all, im wondering if it is contam or pins, im gonna let it grow a little more and see if they start to look like pin or contam....if it is contam will i have to throw out all of my perlite and put new perlite in? cuz i used all that i had and it is hard to find perlite around here right now because there is snow on the ground no stores are stocking it right now

I don't suggest incubating at such a high temp for 1/2 pint jars. Unless you are using liquid myc instead of multispore.
Otherwise the heat will dry your cakes, by the time the spores have germinated and colonized. Since you can't shake a 1/2 pint full of BRF... it CAN take a long time. Longer then QUARTS of grain!
Also, 1/2 pints ARE small, so they don't hold THAT MUCH moisture in the 1st place. They can dry quite fast, especially if there are 4 holes at the top of your jar!
Room temp is better, IMO... especially if you are colonizing just a FEW jars.

Wait 7 days after colonization, to birth. Then you are SURE you have a colonized cake.
You can't rush this hobby.

Its very very unlikely that you are seeing pins after 18 hours. Generally it takes 7-10 days to see pins after you have fruited your cakes.

That is a half pint jar.. I have some of those too. They are taller and more narrow than the normal half pint most folks use.
Here is Qt jar beside the two different 1/2 pint jars.
