well he fixed it.. looks like he put it up on myspace.
the rock was there on it's own accord and caused compaction underneath the rock (which is just very densely compacted sand if you look)
and then the natural slow dune migration caused it to look 'uprooted' when it was once level with the bottom of the rock..
that's my hypothesis.

i don't think its real, moving sand dunes would of buried and eroded that thing long ago

i just told y'all how i think.
and i'm sticking to it..
thinking back to geology.. it's probably a clastic sedimentary rock that was subject to lithification (compaction and cementification)
think about it guys.
the big ass rock pressing down on all the sand caused the compaction and the friction of all the other sand moving around that compacted area or just the heat (looks like it's in a desert) caused the cementation..
maybe a geology major could chime in here and correct me but scientifically that's my hypothesis.
