sterile is sterile. if you did the work right, you should be able to keep em around for a while.

they're grain jars, then you might be fcked.
you are supposed to inoculate as soon as possible so they can get a jump start on the endospores.. or something like that.
i mean it might be ok. inspect them before you inoc.
if it was really 4 days i would just re-do it.. wbs is hella cheap.

make sure the band is tight and put em in a cabinet. dont shake them around and look at them everyday
you just wanna avoid the grain drying out... i always knock my jars up within 24 hours of sterilization

My grain control jar is a month old and NOTHING has happened to it. it has the same filter and everything, just didn't get inoculated.

They should be fine, If anything it'll be a good test, Any jars with contaminants in them will start growing and you have a chance to chuck them before you waste your print or syringe on them. I always incubate my blank agar plates to make sure they are clean before I use them. Just seal them in a bag so they don't dry out.

the last jars i sterilized sat on the shelf for 2 weeks before i got around to inoculating with lc.
everything went beautifully and as expected. if your sterilization technique is on point then your grains are sterile and should be fine.
i regularly give my jars 5 days or so to make sure nothing grows in them before i knock em up.
