i've been researching big screen LCD's for awhile now in preparation of buying one soon, and today i looked on newegg.com and found the 46" samsung lcd i wanted for $1599 and then on amazon for $1550 and decided i'd most likely oder one today. i just wanted to go down to best buy and look at the picture again and make sure. so i went down there and it's $2100 there, haha! i wasn't expecting this to work, but i told the sales women i'd buy it today from them if they matched $1550, otherwise i'd just order it online and get it shipped to me for free, and much to my surprise they actually went for it. they knocked $600 off the price for me. now i just need to find a friend with a big enough car to go pick it up.
i had no idea that was possible at stores like best buy. score.

i bet they'd do it for you. it's probably more important to them to sell more units as opposed to get the maximum price for each one.
the samsung's are the best looking ones at best buy in my opinion.
here's the one i'm getting: Model LNT4661F
it has pretty stand up ratings on both new egg and amazon. check it out.

That usually doesn't work at the B&M stores like Best Buy or Circuit City. You got a good employee that was willing to help you since that TV is going out of program in favor of the 4671F with the 120Hz refresh and deeper contrast level. Either way though they are great TV's enjoy yours.

i wanted to get one with a 120hz refresh rate but they're just to exspensive for me right now. the contrast is only 10,000:1 but i think it still looks great compared to most of the tv's in there, and i can't really argue with the price.
honestly, i'm just happy to have finally settled on something. i've been running around comparing everything for about a month now.

That's how it goes. The 120Hz refresh is nice but they have the unfortunate effect of breaking a person's wallet. You are right those Samsungs are very nice televisions. I happen to prefer them to the Sony televisions. What all are you planning on hookin up?
